Churches serve many purposes throughout the week. In addition to worship services, these facilities may host meetings, classes, rehearsals, community programs, weddings, memorials, youth activities, and special events. With so many people using the building, regular cleaning is essential for maintaining a welcoming and well-cared-for environment.

We understand that houses of worship often contain meaningful furnishings, instruments, ceremonial areas, and spaces that should be handled with extra care. Our cleaning plans can be customized around service times, office hours, events, and the specific needs of each congregation.

Restrooms

Clean restrooms are important for members, visitors, staff, and guests. We clean and disinfect toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, counters, mirrors, partitions, doors, handles, and floors.

We also remove trash and can restock toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and other supplies when included in the service agreement. Special attention is given to high-touch surfaces, moisture, odors, and visible buildup.

Pews and Chairs

Pews and chairs are used during worship services, meetings, classes, and special events. These areas can collect dust, crumbs, fingerprints, programs, and other debris.

We dust and wipe accessible pew surfaces, chair frames, armrests, backs, and seating areas using methods appropriate for the material. Upholstered chairs can also be vacuumed when included in the cleaning plan.

Care is taken around hymnals, Bibles, offering envelopes, and personal belongings.

Carpet and Hard Floor Cleaning

Church floors experience regular traffic from services, events, classes, and community gatherings.

We vacuum carpeted sanctuaries, offices, hallways, classrooms, meeting rooms, and common areas. Hard-surface flooring can be swept, vacuumed, and mopped based on the flooring type.

Additional services such as carpet extraction, spot treatment, floor scrubbing, or deeper maintenance can also be scheduled when needed.

Pulpit

The pulpit is a central and important part of the worship space. We dust and wipe accessible exterior surfaces, ledges, steps, and surrounding areas using methods appropriate for the material.

Microphones, electronics, religious items, notes, and ceremonial objects are not moved unless specifically authorized.

Handrails

Handrails in sanctuaries, stairways, balconies, ramps, and hallways are frequently touched and can collect fingerprints, dust, and residue.

We wipe accessible handrails, supports, guardrails, and nearby surfaces to help maintain a cleaner appearance throughout the facility.

Doors

Entry doors, sanctuary doors, office doors, classroom doors, and restroom doors are high-touch surfaces.

We clean accessible door surfaces, handles, push plates, frames, glass panels, and surrounding areas. Special attention is given to fingerprints, smudges, and dirt around frequently used entrances.

Windows

Clean windows help brighten sanctuaries, offices, classrooms, lobbies, and gathering spaces.

We clean accessible interior glass, window ledges, frames, and sills while removing dust, fingerprints, smudges, and visible buildup. Exterior window cleaning may also be available depending on access and property requirements.

Trash Removal

Churches can generate waste from services, meetings, classes, events, offices, restrooms, and fellowship activities.

We empty designated trash and recycling containers, replace liners as needed, and move waste to approved collection areas. Special-event cleanup and larger-volume trash removal can also be included in a customized service plan.

Desks and Tables

Desks and tables are used in offices, classrooms, meeting rooms, fellowship halls, and administrative areas.

We clean accessible surfaces, edges, legs, and approved high-touch areas while respecting paperwork, equipment, teaching materials, and personal belongings.

Tables can also be straightened and reset after meetings or events when included in the service agreement.

Hallways

Hallways are high-traffic areas that connect the different parts of the facility.

We vacuum, sweep, or mop hallway flooring as appropriate and clean accessible doors, ledges, handrails, and other visible surfaces. Attention is given to dirt, debris, fingerprints, and high-traffic pathways.

Stairways

Stairways require regular cleaning to help maintain a neat and safe-looking environment.

We vacuum or sweep steps, mop approved hard surfaces, wipe handrails, and clean landings and nearby areas. Care is taken around edges, corners, and areas where dirt tends to collect.

Lobbies

The lobby creates the first impression for members, visitors, and guests.

We clean floors, seating areas, tables, counters, glass, doors, and other accessible surfaces. Furniture can also be straightened and trash removed so the entrance feels welcoming and ready for services or events.

Instruments, If Needed

Church instruments may include pianos, organs, keyboards, drums, guitars, music stands, and other equipment.

When requested and approved, we can lightly dust accessible exterior surfaces using appropriate methods. Instruments are not moved, opened, tuned, disassembled, plugged in, unplugged, or played as part of routine cleaning.

Because instruments can be delicate and valuable, any cleaning beyond light exterior dusting should be approved in advance and completed according to the church’s instructions.
