Post-Construction Cleaning Services

At SD Cleaning Services, we provide detailed post-construction cleaning for newly built, remodeled, renovated, and tenant-improvement properties throughout the Greater Portland Metro Area.

Construction and remodeling projects often leave behind fine dust, debris, packaging, adhesive residue, fingerprints, and material buildup throughout the property. Even when the construction work is complete, the space may not be ready for employees, tenants, customers, homeowners, or final inspection.

Our post-construction cleaning services are designed to help transform a recently completed project into a clean, presentable, and move-in-ready space. We work with contractors, property managers, business owners, landlords, homeowners, and real estate professionals to complete final cleaning based on the size, condition, and needs of each property.

Windows

Construction dust, paint specks, fingerprints, adhesive residue, and labels can affect the appearance of newly installed or existing windows.

We clean accessible interior window glass, frames, sills, ledges, and surrounding surfaces to remove dust, smudges, and visible construction residue. Sticker and label removal can also be included when appropriate and approved.

Exterior window cleaning may be available depending on accessibility, height, and site conditions.

Doors

Newly installed doors and existing doors can collect dust, fingerprints, tape residue, paint marks, and construction debris.

We clean door surfaces, handles, frames, trim, glass panels, push plates, and other accessible areas. Special attention is given to entry doors, office doors, restroom doors, and high-visibility areas that affect the finished appearance of the property.

Carpets

Carpets can collect fine dust, drywall particles, sawdust, packaging debris, and dirt tracked through the site during construction.

We vacuum carpeted rooms, hallways, stairs, and other finished areas with attention to corners, edges, baseboards, and high-traffic paths. Spot treatment or deeper carpet cleaning may also be available when needed.

Hard Flooring

Hard floors often require detailed cleaning after construction because dust and debris can settle into corners, seams, edges, and textured surfaces.

We sweep, vacuum, and mop hard flooring throughout the property, including tile, vinyl, laminate, sealed wood, and other approved surfaces. Care is taken to remove visible dust, footprints, adhesive residue, and construction-related buildup without damaging the finished floor.

Walls

Walls can collect dust, fingerprints, scuff marks, and light construction residue during the final stages of a project.

We wipe accessible wall surfaces, trim, baseboards, ledges, and other approved areas as needed. Cleaning methods are adjusted based on the wall finish and condition to help protect fresh paint and completed surfaces.

Heavy paint removal, drywall repair, or damage correction is not included in routine post-construction cleaning unless specifically arranged.

Trash and Waste Removal

Construction projects can leave behind packaging, cardboard, plastic, labels, protective coverings, and light debris.

We collect and remove approved nonhazardous waste from finished areas and move it to designated on-site dumpsters or disposal locations. The service can include emptying trash containers, gathering loose debris, and removing leftover materials that have been approved for disposal.

Hazardous materials, chemicals, sharp objects, heavy construction debris, and regulated waste require separate handling and are not treated as ordinary trash.

Restrooms

New or remodeled restrooms need a detailed final cleaning before they are ready for use.

We clean toilets, urinals, sinks, faucets, counters, mirrors, partitions, doors, handles, fixtures, and floors. We also remove dust, labels, water spots, and light construction residue from accessible surfaces.

Paper products, soap, and other supplies can be restocked when provided or included in the service agreement.

Light Fixtures

Light fixtures, covers, switches, and surrounding surfaces can collect fine dust during construction.

We dust and wipe accessible light fixtures, switch plates, covers, and nearby surfaces where safe access is available. High fixtures, electrical components, or areas requiring specialized equipment may need to be arranged separately.

We do not remove, disassemble, repair, or service electrical fixtures as part of routine cleaning.

Final Cleaning for a Finished, Move-In-Ready Space

Every construction project is different. Some properties need a basic final cleanup, while others require a more detailed top-to-bottom cleaning before occupancy, inspection, listing, or turnover.
